Elsie Whitford was one of the last surviving artist's of the Cotswolds Arts and Crafts movement. Togther with her life-long companion Nora Yoxall (who outlived even Whitford living until 105) she established a studio at Blockley near Chipping Campden. The two became well-known stained glass designers, not only designing but making their own commissions in this medium.
